me when the carbon monoxide level in my house becomes fatal
did you hear about Ripley the toucan passing away suddenly last week? "unexpectedly" hmmm what a shock (tbf i didnt really follow the channel closely so i don't know much about their husbandry so i cant judge but .... just having a pet toucan at all smh)
i’m literally not surprised at all considering all the junk i saw it being fed for views.
toucans and mynahs have extremely sensitive dietary needs, if you feed a toucan literally too much of one food they can drop dead from
hemochromatosis aka iron buildup and need a specialized low iron diet.
my family used to have this sort of abstract watercolour painting up in our dining room, it was there as early as i can remember, and i always hated it. one day when i was like ten my mom came up to me, and i guess handed me something but i dont remember what, and she was like “can you put this on the shelf, by the bird painting?”
and i was like “..the what?”
and she was like “the painting of the bird on the branch. can you put it there” and she pointed to the abstract painting
and i was like “how is that a bird”
and she said “well what do you think it is?”
and was like “it’s a beached whale with a giant eye, blowing blood out of its blow hole onto the legs of a guy who’s running away”
..and i guess my mom thought that was like funny or weird or something so she told my dad about it, and he immediately said “oh, you mean the reindeer painting?”
since you guys wanted to see it
i see a hummingbird moth’s face
Honestly seeing a trend with people who are super reactive about that topic.
Having sex with someone actually is a big deal and involves a ton of vulnerability and I think it’s extremely troubling and gross and unhealthy and actually exceptionally dangerous that we pretend otherwise and encourage people to “be mature” by compartmentalizing/completely eliminating their deeper human emotions from their sexuality and that any other view is dismissed as prudish and invalid and unenlightened and childish and restrictive. I can’t think about this too much because it makes me rage but I hate how much porn and capitalism have destroyed how we understand and experience sexuality and intimate connections with one another so much.
Just say you hate sex workers. It’s faster.
There are some valid points in this but it’s mostly wrapped up in judgy slut-shaming reductiveness.
Sometimes sex isn’t that deep. Sometimes it is. Just accept the fact that not everyone’s experiences and drives are the same as yours. It’s really not that hard.
Ok but hear me out, buddy: “Just accept the fact that not everyone’s experiences and drives are the same as yours. It’s not that hard.” Wonder where I’d read that, fairly recently too. Hmmm…
…
Oh wait that’s right.
Follow your own advice please, and also if you could refrain from willfully misinterpreting what people say that’d be great too, thanks.
And before anyone jumps at me, I do not hate sex workers, I do not hate sex, and I do not hate people who enjoy the act of sex without any deeper feelings or morals attached to it.
What I do hate however, is exactly what OP themselves pretty plainly said: the people who can’t possibly understand that not everyone enjoys sex just for its physical aspect, not everyone enjoys talking about sex, and not everyone wants to have sex at all. Oh and then there’s the people who would rather be cautious with their sexual interactions for reasons that, pardon me, you have no right to demand; people who see having sex as a great deal, or a deeply personal thing.
What OP said wasn’t that they “hated sex workers”. It was that people who don’t have a very positive attitude towards sex are called childish, or hateful, or stupid, or judgemental.
